THAI SPICY BEEF SALAD RECIPE

Yam Nuea Yang Recipe

This is a great way to use left over roast beef, chicken, lamb, or pork.  You can also use my favorite broiled flank steak or pillared pork steaks fresh off the grill or even a roasted duck from the Chinese market.

8 ounces thinly sliced protein

2 ounces minced garlic

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro – cilantro will do

1 ounce sugar, adjust to taste

2 ounces fresh or bottled lime juice, Rose’s for Gimlets

2 tablespoons fish sauce

6 ounces sliced red onion

3 tablespoons lemon grass sliced

2 to 4 sliced spicy chilies, to taste

4 ounces fresh mint leaves

4 ounces fresh basil leaves, Thai if available

2 ounces green onions sliced

HERE’S A GOOD VIDEO ILLUSTRATION

1.    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and toss

2.    Serve on Soft Greens or Jasmine Rice

3.    Serve with cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes & toppings
